President Muhammadu Buhari has cancelled the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which was expected to hold on Wednesday.
Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, announced that the cancellation was due to inadequate time to prepare the documents for the meeting.
In a statement issued in Kano on Tuesday, the minister said the two-day public holidays declared for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations left little or no time to prepare for the weekly meeting.
President Muhammadu Buhari spent the holidays in his hometown, Daura in Katsina State.
He attended his first FEC meeting for five months last week after a long stay in London where he received treatment for an undisclosed condition.
