Nigerians attack Okorocha for appointing sister Commissioner for Happiness

Nigerians have taken to social media platform, Twitter to attack governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, over the latest appointment of his sister, Mrs Ogechi Ololo, as Commissioner For Happiness and Couples Fulfilment in the state.

Ololo is among the newly sworn in 28 commissioners and 27 Transition Committee Chairmen for the 27 local councils in the state.

Before her appointment as commissioner, she served as the deputy chief, domestic and internal affairs, in Okorocha administration.

Social media comments expressing disapproval of the appointment include:

“Rochas Okorocha of Imo State appoints Mrs. Ogechi Ololo as the Commissioner for “Happiness and Couples’ Fulfillment”. If there was any doubt that Okorocha is a total misfit, he cleared it today.”

“Gov. Rochas should be impeached.Making his sister the commissioner for happiness in Imo state is a reckless act.#ImpeachRochas

The appointment comes after Okorocha received backlash erecting statues of Liberian president, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and South African president, Jacob Zuma, who is currently facing corruption charges.
